Imagine a Miracle Facial Cleanser!

facial cleanser

I have struggled with facial cleansers for years.  My skin is combination, both oily and dry.  I became frustrated with each purchase.  Many worked well to cleanse the face but left me with a terribly dry feeling.  Some products I couldn’t use to remove my eye makeup so naturally an additional product was necessary.

My quest was to find a cleanser that was economical, safe, natural, good for my skin, and left me feeling like I didn’t need to add moisturizer after cleansing.  Hmmmmm….tall order!

After MUCH research, trial and error I made my own.

This recipe makes one 12 ounce bottle and I love to use my foaming bottle.

Imagine Anti-Aging Facial Cleanser

1 cup of distilled water

2 tbs castile soap- find it here

2 tbs coconut oil- find it here (some people cannot use coconut oil as it make cause breakouts.  I have no issue with it.  If you want, you can substitute with 2 tbs argon oil.

1 tbs aloe vera gel

1/2 tbs sweet almond oil- find it here

1 tsp xanthan gum

1 tsp citric acid- find it here

8 drops of Lavender essential oil- find it here

4 drops of Frankincense essential oil- find it here

4 drops of Orange or Lemon essential oil – find it here

4 drops of Carrot Seed essential oil- find it here

I use my magic bullet to blend most of my recipes but you can use a blender or hand mixer.

Leaving out the Castile Soap, add rest of the ingredients into your mixer.  The longer you mix the thicker and more luxurious your cleanser will be. This should be about 60 seconds.  Lastly hand stir the Castile Soap in.  Take a funnel and pour into your preferred bottle.  Shake really well.  Label and use!

Be sure to shake before each use.  Always test a spot on your wrist.
