Granite Cleaner

I can’t tell you how many granite cleaners I have gone through each being a waste of money and disappointment.  Many of the store bought granite cleaners often leave a film and having black granite it becomes a daily struggle.

This recipe is fantastic, smells amazing and the alcohol and essential oils allow for a way to clean and sanitize your granite counter tops with no film left behind.

I use microfiber clothes as they make all my household cleaning so much easier.  I purchase them in large quantities and designate a color per household cleaner.  Even though I wash them regularly (never use fabric softener and wash them separately) I still feel it is safer to put each cloth in a storage bag and next to a specific cleaner.

Granite Cleaner (16 oz spray bottle)

  • 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol
  • 4 drops of either Dawn Dish Soap or Castile Soap (my fav)
  • enough distilled water to fill the rest of the bottle
  • 10 drops of either lemon or orange essential oil

Add all ingredients into the spray bottle.  Shake before each use.  Test a section of your counter top first.
